Hello, my name is Alden Smith, and I am currently an elementary band director in Atlanta Public Schools. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Akron, in Akron, Ohio and have studied piano for eighteen years. In addition to teaching music, I have accompanied students in Solo Adjudicated Events.

My education philosophy focuses on preparing youth and adults to be independent musicians. I strive to create a positive atmosphere in my lessons where my students have fun because they are successful and growing in their own musical journeys.
